I have to say, the team at Aspen Dental have all really been top-shelf through all my visits: Dr. Kelsey; Diana (the front desk receptionist); Diane (the dental assistant that has taken my x-rays); Desiree (aka Desi, who took my impressions); and Stephanie (Dr. Kelsey's assitant during my second [major] surgery). Dr. Kelsey is professional and informative; straightforward, but not cold. Her bedside manner is top-tier, and I have every confidence in her knowledge and ability to successfully perform whatever is needed for her patients - with compassion and great care. If I could give her a nickname, it would be the Angel of Angulation... and Finesse. Diana and my wife have been in regular contact during these procedures, ensuring that we have been well-informed and -prepared along the way. She is attentive to pass along any messages to Dr. Kelsey, and sure to leave any notes in my file that need leaving, further being aware and sensitive to the needs of each patient (as I have personally observed), even addressing them by name when they walk through the door. She has walked us through the options that are available to me regarding treatments and financing so we could move forward with ease. As far as Diane, Desiree, and Stephanie, I appreciate the proficiency and dexterity with which they've executed their parts in this process for me. I feel completely comfortable with them and the team at Aspen Dental as a whole, and can only give them the highest recommendation.
Very friendly atmosphere and people.
I had a great experience at my dental appointment. The whole staff was very kind and caring. I was nervous when I first arrived but they did a great job at making me feel comfortable.

Root canal in East Wenatchee, WA

If you’re dealing with ongoing tooth pain or infection, a root canal may be the recommended treatment. At Aspen Dental in East Wenatchee, our care team provides root canal treatment close to home—so you don’t have to wait to feel relief.

What is a root canal?

A root canal is an endodontic treatment that cleans infection inside your tooth so we can save it instead of taking it out. If left untreated, the pulp that has nerves or tissue may die as a result of infection. Left untreated, an infected tooth can cause damage and lead to other issues. At Aspen Dental, your comfort is our priority at every step—we’ll explain everything and keep you comfortable throughout the process. If cost is what’s holding you back, don’t delay your visit—we accept most insurances and financing options—so you’ll know exactly what to expect.

What’s the process of getting a root canal at Aspen Dental?

At Aspen Dental, your comfort is our priority at every step:
1
Initial assessment
We examine the tooth, take X-rays and explain your care plan.
2
Local anesthesia
The affected tooth and surrounding area are numbed completely, so you remain comfortable throughout the procedure.
3
Removing the infection
We carefully remove the infected pulp.
4
Cleaning and shaping
The inside of the tooth is cleaned and prepared.
5
Sealing the tooth
A biocompatible filling material seals the canals to protect the tooth from further infection.
6
Restoring the tooth
Most patients need a crown placed afterward to strengthen and protect the treated tooth for long-term use.

Do I need root canal treatment?

You might need root canal treatment if you notice: tooth pain that doesn’t go away, sensitivity to hot or cold even after the infection is gone, pain when chewing, a cracked or broken tooth exposing the nerve, swelling in the gums or jaw, or a tooth that looks darker than the rest. These are all signs of infection, and by treating it quickly, Aspen Dental could save your tooth.
