Had emergency and was treated like gold...
Bare with me a moment while I describe the situation...I recently had a cracked tooth and my regular dentist has done a fantastic job taking care of it. One key aspect is that a root canal may be required and since it's a molar, that is done by an endodontist rather than the regular dentist, but the endodontist associated with my regular dentist isn't in my network. So I got a referral and that leads me to Aspen Dental and Dr Gravilis.
Dr Gravilis is in my network so I sought his services and glad I did. I went in for the consultation, they took xrays and Dr Gravilis did a great job of showing me the xrays and explaining in depth why I do need the root canal. And he was ready to do it right then.
Aspen wanted to verify all of the insurance aspects before proceeding which I both agreed with and appreciated because I didn't want to pay the entire bill and that's why I sought them out in the first place.
This is where Layla comes in. I had spoken with her a couple of times on the phone to coordinate this visit and get insurance information set up. And on this visit she went to verify coverage for the root canal and associated procedures. But there was some issue with the system that showed Dr Gravilis is not in my network. Layla called their corporate offices, verified he is as well as ensuring coverage on each and every piece of the pie. She put in a ticket with their IT folks and then followed that up with a phone call to tech support. It couldn't be resolved right away, so knowing my desire to ensure coverage and know my portion of the bill, Layla set me up at another location to see Dr Gravilis and will continue working on the system issue.
If you stuck with me this far, I realize they were doing their jobs but Layla, Dr Gravilis and others I encountered were professional, friendly, efficient and I really felt they were all working together to get me the best outcome for my dental health and my financial health.
