Only gets a 1 star because I can't say Zero. I went in and Justin Song asked if I planned on keeping my teeth. Horrible way to start as I am 28. I know I have had a lot of work done, and my genetics don't help, but that is uncalled for. And stating that I need a root canal on a front tooth with no sensitivity, and all of my prior fillings and crowns needing to be redone - they are max 5 years old. This level of work is outrageous when my previous dentist gave me a clean report this past February. The 2nd opinion I got only recommended 2 minor touchups. Also, I was there for nearly 3 hrs. I thought I was getting a basic checkup and cleaning, and all they did was some scans and stabbing all my gums. VERY painful. I swear they were trying to scare me into getting unnecessary work done just to rack up the bill. When I said I didn't have the funds to pay out of pocket for what insurance wouldn't cover, they wanted me to finance the remaining $10,000 as if it was nothing. So pushy and wouldn't take no for an answer I had to schedule things before I could leave. (I cancelled the extra visit on the phone the same day). Very unprofessional, and I will not be returning ever again. Stay away at all costs.
I had an excellent experience with Dr. Song at the Palatine Aspen Dental location for my wisdom tooth extraction. Dr. Song was outstanding throughout the entire process. He made me feel comfortable, explained everything clearly, and performed the extraction quickly and smoothly. I was honestly amazed at how easy the procedure was and how fast my recovery went. By the very next day, I had no soreness or pain. What stood out most was Dr. Song's skill, compassion, and honesty. He took the time to answer my questions and was very transparent about treatment and costs, which I truly appreciated. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, caring dentist who puts patients at ease, I highly recommend Dr. Song. Thank you for making what could have been a very stressful experience such a positive one!

Dr. Song was born and raised in Bloomington IN and graduated from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine-Illinois in 2022. He takes joy in empowering patients to gain and maintain control of their oral health through education and evidence-based treatment. Prior to dentistry, Dr. Song worked as a dental laboratory technician and specialized in fabricating removable prostheses. Outside of work, he loves playing pickleball, cooking, fishing, and taking walks with his greyhound, Kiwi.
