Ruth is hands down the Best Hygienist I’ve ever encountered ! From her performance and her demeanor she is highly informative, caring, precise she not only cares about her patients but also her career she’s not driven by revenue but by passion if you are in the Central Texas area I highly recommend going to visit Ruth .
Well, I will say the office itself is a nice off. The staff is very nice but my hygienist Ruth is top tier. She is professional, very kind, proficient and efficient in what she does. Oh yeah she will get on you in a nice way about dental care. You can tell Ruth loves what she does not just for a paycheck but her career choice. Thanks for always providing good and caring services Ruth.
I was very nervous to come to the office due to me being new to the area. The staff was amazing but RUTH RUTH RUTH!!! She made this visit everything for me. No questions went unanswered. She was VERY THOROUGH with all of my questions and treatment. I’ve never had an appointment where I did not feel dental anxiety. While I was with Ruth I could not tell if I was at a dental office or the spa with how relaxed she made me feel. This appointment was the gold standard of how any person should feel when coming to an office. My family and I now have a new dental home! Thank you dental staff, doc, and most of all thank you Ruth!

Dental crowns in Temple, TX FAQs

Explore answers to common questions so you know what to expect—before, during and after your dental crown visit at Aspen Dental in Temple office.

A dental crown is a cap placed over a tooth to protect it. It helps fix teeth that are weak, broken or misshapen. Your Aspen Dental dentist shapes the tooth, takes a mold and then places the crown on top. The crown looks and works like a real tooth.

Dental crowns can last up to 15 years. They last longer when you brush, floss and visit your dentist often. Chewing on hard foods can wear them down. If the crown gets damaged, your dentist may be able to replace it.

Crowns don’t respond to whitening treatments, so their color remains the same. If you whiten your natural teeth, your crown may no longer blend in. For the best color match, it’s usually recommended to whiten your teeth before getting a crown.

Yes, you can eat normally once the crown is set in place. At first, it’s a good idea to chew on the other side of your mouth. Try to avoid sticky or hard foods that might loosen the crown.

Dental crowns don’t need special care, but you still need to brush and floss every day. Regular dental visits help keep the crown and your other teeth healthy. Avoid grinding your teeth and ask your Aspen Dental dentist if a night guard might help.
