Pleasant visit. Friendly staff. Highly recommend this place, got all my dental needs taken care of. Couldn't ask for a better Dental team and they make you feel like family not just a patient.
From the moment I walked in the doors of Aspen dental to the end of my visit I was treated fantastic! Everyone in the office is so kind and welcoming. They made me feel at ease being in a dental office and that is a rare thing. They thoroughly took the time and care to discuss any treatment rendered with me and explained everything in laments terms that I could understand . I was even able to get my treatment done the same day! I got my cleaning and extractions done same day! I had never had any dental work done before, much less a tooth pulled and was extremely terrified :( but they made me so comfortable they dimmed the lights, gave me a stress ball and set some music I enjoyed during the procedure just for me. I felt no pain and it was over before I knew it. I was putting off coming to the dentist for so long. I was scared of nothing. They went above and beyond to make sure I was relaxed and taken care of. I was truly grateful to be in such great care, I have never had a dental experience like this before! I highly recommend aspen dental to friends and family you will not be disappointed.
From the front office staff to the assistants my visit was phenomenal. The staff is absolutely amazing, very friendly and treats you like family. Very clean and comfortable office. Doctor Castillo and Doctor Shafiey are very professional and informative. The hygienist Denice was super sweet and had a gentle touch. Was able to start treatment the same day and the financial portion was super easy and affordable. I would defiantly refer my friends and family here!!

Dental crowns in San Antonio, TX - Austin Highway FAQs

Explore answers to common questions so you know what to expect—before, during and after your dental crown visit at Aspen Dental in San Antonio office.

A dental crown is a cap placed over a tooth to protect it. It helps fix teeth that are weak, broken or misshapen. Your Aspen Dental dentist shapes the tooth, takes a mold and then places the crown on top. The crown looks and works like a real tooth.

Dental crowns can last up to 15 years. They last longer when you brush, floss and visit your dentist often. Chewing on hard foods can wear them down. If the crown gets damaged, your dentist may be able to replace it.

Crowns don’t respond to whitening treatments, so their color remains the same. If you whiten your natural teeth, your crown may no longer blend in. For the best color match, it’s usually recommended to whiten your teeth before getting a crown.

Yes, you can eat normally once the crown is set in place. At first, it’s a good idea to chew on the other side of your mouth. Try to avoid sticky or hard foods that might loosen the crown.

Dental crowns don’t need special care, but you still need to brush and floss every day. Regular dental visits help keep the crown and your other teeth healthy. Avoid grinding your teeth and ask your Aspen Dental dentist if a night guard might help.
