My first opinion when I walked in, very clean, atmosphere was very good, front desk ladies very helpful and nice. Ex rays were next, very cleaned, staff was very helpful and friendly. Next I met the Dr. She was very helpful and explained everything to me. I talked to office manager of pricing and payment plan. Very professional. Prices we're ok. Not as expensive as my other dentist, but reasonable. Then time to get my tooth pulled. Very relaxed, my lady Dr. Was very sweet, explaining step by step everything she was doing. And let me know what to expect in the next coming days. I'm very particular about the cleaning this in the office and in the chair and the tray everything was spot on, very clean. I do Not want my teeth to go bad, but it's a place I will be going back too...And when I say clean, I mean CLEAN... I CAN SAY Proudly, THIS IS My new Dr. AND OFFICE Personnel is my new family, thank you Aspen Dental !!! ♡♡♡♡ NO COMPLAINTS HERE! ALL GOOD! Thankyou to ALL THE STAFF.... YOUR CLEAN ATMOSPHERE AND FRIENDLINESS HELPED MY DAY GO SMOOTHER. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. "I'LL BE BACK" JUDY BERRY

I can speak from a huge change that Dr. Alexander made so easy for me with the help of his assistants! I was going to wait until it was all over, but seeing the negative feedback made me want to comment now. Nothing is perfect and it would be unfair for me to say everything went perfect; however, the parts that have not been perfect, they have made sure to fix it and fix it right. I would not go anywhere else and look forward to the months ahead of Dr. Alexander and his team continuing to make my smile perfect again!

Root canal in Millington, TN

If you’re dealing with ongoing tooth pain or infection, a root canal may be the recommended treatment. At Aspen Dental in Millington, our care team provides root canal treatment close to home—so you don’t have to wait to feel relief.

What is a root canal?

A root canal is an endodontic treatment that cleans infection inside your tooth so we can save it instead of taking it out. If left untreated, the pulp that has nerves or tissue may die as a result of infection. Left untreated, an infected tooth can cause damage and lead to other issues. At Aspen Dental, your comfort is our priority at every step—we’ll explain everything and keep you comfortable throughout the process. If cost is what’s holding you back, don’t delay your visit—we accept most insurances and financing options—so you’ll know exactly what to expect.

What’s the process of getting a root canal at Aspen Dental?

At Aspen Dental, your comfort is our priority at every step:
1
Initial assessment
We examine the tooth, take X-rays and explain your care plan.
2
Local anesthesia
The affected tooth and surrounding area are numbed completely, so you remain comfortable throughout the procedure.
3
Removing the infection
We carefully remove the infected pulp.
4
Cleaning and shaping
The inside of the tooth is cleaned and prepared.
5
Sealing the tooth
A biocompatible filling material seals the canals to protect the tooth from further infection.
6
Restoring the tooth
Most patients need a crown placed afterward to strengthen and protect the treated tooth for long-term use.

Do I need root canal treatment?

You might need root canal treatment if you notice: tooth pain that doesn’t go away, sensitivity to hot or cold even after the infection is gone, pain when chewing, a cracked or broken tooth exposing the nerve, swelling in the gums or jaw, or a tooth that looks darker than the rest. These are all signs of infection, and by treating it quickly, Aspen Dental could save your tooth.
