I went to Aspen Dental for tooth pain and expecting that I would need an extraction. I have previous dental trauma/anxiety from procedures and dental visits, so I was very nervous. Dr. Plummer did a fantastic job answering all my questions, easing my fears, and making sure that I was comfortable and informed throughout the entire visit. Every employee that I interacted with from techs, assistants, hygienists, and the office manager were beyond friendly, kind, and compassionate. I walked in extremely nervous and left feeling like it was the most positive dental appointment I’ve had yet, even with the extraction. I really could not recommend this team enough. Especially Dr. Plummer. Thank you so so much!

Always a great experience. Would definitely recommend. Ekta Patel is the best!

I had Ekta , she was really helpful and nice and made me feel comfortable, I’m glad I came to aspen

If you’re dealing with ongoing tooth pain or infection, a root canal may be the recommended treatment. At Aspen Dental in Columbia, our care team provides root canal treatment close to home—so you don’t have to wait to feel relief.

What is a root canal?

A root canal is an endodontic treatment that cleans infection inside your tooth so we can save it instead of taking it out. If left untreated, the pulp that has nerves or tissue may die as a result of infection. Left untreated, an infected tooth can cause damage and lead to other issues. At Aspen Dental, your comfort is our priority at every step—we’ll explain everything and keep you comfortable throughout the process. If cost is what’s holding you back, don’t delay your visit—we accept most insurances and financing options—so you’ll know exactly what to expect.

Do I need root canal treatment?

You might need root canal treatment if you notice: tooth pain that doesn’t go away, sensitivity to hot or cold even after the infection is gone, pain when chewing, a cracked or broken tooth exposing the nerve, swelling in the gums or jaw, or a tooth that looks darker than the rest.
