I had a really great experience at Aspen Dental. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, professional, and made me feel comfortable right away. The front desk was organized and helpful, and I didn’t have to wait long to be seen. The dentist and hygienist were both very patient and explained everything clearly before starting any procedures, which I really appreciated. They made sure I was comfortable the entire time and checked in often to see how I was doing. The office was clean, modern, and had a very calming environment. What stood out the most was how thorough they were—they took their time and didn’t make me feel rushed. They also gave me helpful advice on maintaining my dental health without being pushy. Overall, I highly recommend Aspen Dental if you’re looking for a place that’s professional, friendly, and truly cares about their patients.

With local anesthesia, your Aspen Dental provider will keep you as comfortable possible. During your procedure, you may feel pressure as your tooth is removed. After your procedure, mild sensitivity is common and should fade after a short period of time. Your provider will provide you detailed after-care instructions and, if needed, medication to manage any discomfort.

Most patients feel much better within a few days. Surgical extractions, especially for wisdom teeth, may require a week or more to fully recovery. Healing is different for everyone and depends on things like your overall health, the complexity of your extraction and how well you follow after-care instructions.

You can usually remove gauze once bleeding has stopped, which may take a few hours after your procedure. Your provider will give you specific instructions to help you heal safely. It’s important to follow these instructions carefully to ensure you fully recover.

If your procedure involves sedation, fasting for several hours ahead of your visit may be required. Your provider will let you know exactly how to prepare. For simple extractions with local anesthesia only, fasting is usually not necessary. If you have questions, reach out to your local Aspen Dental office for further details.

Soft foods are recommended for the first 24 to 48 hours. Options include yogurt, mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs, soft pastas and smoothies. As healing progresses, you can reintroduce solid foods when it feels right for you. Make sure to avoid crunchy, sticky or very hot foods until cleared by your provider.

Follow all after-care instructions given to you by your provider. Typically, you’ll be guided to: Avoid smoking or vaping, keep your head elevated, use ice to reduce swelling. Once cleared by your provider, maintain good oral hygiene by brushing gently around the area of your extraction.
