I’ve always been terrified of the dentist and have had nothing but bad experiences… until today. I had an extraction at Aspen Dental in Troy, and the assistants and my doctor were unbelievably kind, patient, and genuinely sweet. Honestly, the scariest part was just me waiting to be called back once I was with them, they had me smiling and actually relaxed. I’m young and still figuring out life on my own, and they helped me set up a payment plan that works perfectly for me while making sure I got the care I needed. They completely changed how I feel about going to the dentist. This will be the only dentist I visit from now on. If you’re someone who hates the dentist, trust me go see them. Thank you to the team who helped me so much!

I originally went to their office in Huber Heights, because of my tooth coming out and they sent me to the Troy office because I wanted my partial done the same day. Both offices were gentle and work me through my concerns. Dr. Mascoto was very nice and talked me through everything. Definitely the place to go with any dental procedures.

Got right in, extremely professional and friendly... dentists are always stressful, they make it pleasant.

If you’re dealing with ongoing tooth pain or infection, a root canal may be the recommended treatment. At Aspen Dental in Troy, our care team provides root canal treatment close to home—so you don’t have to wait to feel relief.

What is a root canal?

A root canal is an endodontic treatment that cleans infection inside your tooth so we can save it instead of taking it out. If left untreated, the pulp that has nerves or tissue may die as a result of infection. Left untreated, an infected tooth can cause damage and lead to other issues. At Aspen Dental, your comfort is our priority at every step—we’ll explain everything and keep you comfortable throughout the process. If cost is what’s holding you back, don’t delay your visit—we accept most insurances and financing options—so you’ll know exactly what to expect.

Do I need root canal treatment?

You might need root canal treatment if you notice: tooth pain that doesn’t go away, sensitivity to hot or cold even after the infection is gone, pain when chewing, a cracked or broken tooth exposing the nerve, swelling in the gums or jaw, or a tooth that looks darker than the rest.
