Friendly and welcoming people very professional people there. So glad I chose them for my needs.
I went to Aspen dental in Derry, Nh yesterday for an infected tooth, and a care plan moving forward. I had the most pleasant experience with all the women I encountered, from front desk to meeting with Dr. Rosso, Maycee, Courtney, and Lauren!! I'm also looking forward to meeting Dr. Bratanava for my first tooth extraction coming up. I have SEVERE dental panic anxiety, but I was put at ease by everyone there smiling and treating me very nicely! I would highly recommend them, especially if you have dental anxiety! It felt very casual, yet also professional and welcoming! UPDATE: I FINALLY got up the nerve to get 9 teeth extracted and immediate dentures, yesterday, 10/1/26. I have dental anxiety and extreme anxiety, in general!! Well, a week ago, I went for my impressions and updated X-rays and met Dolce( she holds up to her name which means sweet, in Spanish!) She was so gentle, sweet, and compassionate, as I was telling her how nervous I was for the surgery and how high my anxiety is. She explained that Dr. Bratanava is amazing and that I'm going to be in great hands. I then met with the office manager, Courtney, who was so patient with me ( more than one time) and reassured that Dr. B was amazing! Yesterday, when I walked in, I was welcomed by the lovely, and very friendly front staff team. I didn't even sit down and Maycee came to bring me back for my surgery with a huge welcoming smile! She made me comfortable and chatted with me, which helped with my anxiety! Then, Dr. Bratanava walked in with such confidence, compassion, and kindness. She explained everything and got right to it, ensuring that I was comfortable the entire time, while Maycee was her dental Hygienist, doing the suctioning, rinsing, etc, all while talking to myself and Dr. B. casually, like we were all friends. Dr. B had the entire surgery done in under an hour( which Courtney had told me about an hour.) My teeth were in pretty bad shape and Dr. B extracted NINE teeth, seemingly effortlessly, was completely calm, all while maintaining such a gentle bedside manner. I had a few personal requests that were met, which helped alot with the stress and anxiety! Thank you to the entire Aspen team! Sincerely, Michelle
If you’re someone who has had a bad dental experience they are for you!!! I was very scared to go to the dentist!! As soon as I walked in the door I was treated well!! My many many questions were answered with patience and words I understood.

What are dental fillings?

A tooth filling is a restorative treatment that repairs a tooth that has been damaged by decay or minor fractures. When getting a filling, your dentist will remove any decay in your tooth and then fill the leftover space with either composite resin, glass ionomer or amalgam. This restores the shape, function and strength of your tooth while helping to minimize any discomfort or sensitivity.

Types of dental fillings

Composite fillings

The top choice for tooth restoration—a resin composite filling is made to match your tooth’s shade for a natural appearance.

Glass ionomer fillings

Commonly used for small cavities, these fillings release fluoride, which can help prevent further tooth decay.

Amalgam fillings

Silver tooth fillings (amalgam fillings) are durable, cost-effective and can contain metals such as silver, tin and copper.

Explore answers to common questions so you know what to expect—before, during and after your dental filling visit at Aspen Dental.

You may need a dental filling if you have tooth pain, visible holes, dark spots, or sensitivity to hot, cold or sweet foods. Getting treatment early can prevent more serious dental problems.

Tooth-colored composite fillings are often best for front teeth. They blend in naturally, bond securely to your tooth and provide strong support in visible areas.

Yes. Modern tooth-colored fillings are strong and resist normal wear. While they may not last as long as metal fillings in areas of your mouth you frequently chew in, with proper care, they can last many years.

Wondering, “do cavity fillings hurt?” No, they don’t. During your treatment, we keep you comfortable with a local anesthetic. You may feel pressure, but should not feel pain. Any mild sensitivity afterward usually goes away within a few days.

Avoid chewing with the tooth that was filled until the numbness wears off. Brush and floss gently around the area as normal, and avoid sticky or hard foods for the first day. Maintain regular oral hygiene and schedule routine dental checkups to keep the filling in good condition.
