Had a great experience at my dentist appointment, great customer service, quick and easy.
From the moment that I stepped into Aspen Dental Royal Oak, I was treated with the utmost respect. Everyone on staff from Dr Senaan to Mya had my best interest in mind. They were attentive and explained everything and made sure you understand before anything was done. I highly recommend the whole team. I would highly recommend Aspen Dental-Royal Oak. Dr Lundy is the best dentist I have ever had. Dr Lundy is very personable. Dr Lundy explains what he is doing throughout the procedure and completely sets your mind at ease. After the procedure he gives you clear cut instructions for your aftercare and calls you up the next day to ensure that you are okay. 9/25/23 I had an appointment to adjust my lower implant. Met with Mya and Dr Raheem. Dr Raheem gave me options, explained procedure, step by step. Both Mya and Dr Raheem were concerned about my care and wellbeing. I am 110% satisfied with the care that I received before, during and after my surgery. I have and will continue to refer patients to this location. The office manager Terrea was very helpful explaining my options with reference to payment plans. I am extremely pleased and satisfied with my overall experience. 11/26/25 I visited Aspen Dental today because my implant broke. I was given immediate attention and the receptionist took my denture to the lab technician and he was able to repair my implant in 3 hours. I was very satisfied with my overall appointment. 6/18/26 Today I met with Dr Semaan because I had an abutment come loose from my implant. Dr Semaan was very helpful by reattaching the dental piece. Dr Semaan was thorough, helpful and truly cared about my comfort and care. I was very satisfied with the treatment I received and will continue to visit the Royal Oak location for Aspen Dental.
Besides the fact I've taken my mom here for years, I thought I should finally make an appointment myself. I'm blown away by the staff and the level of kindness in everyone I met. Frankie, Dr. K, Jessica, and more folks' names who unfortunately escape me made the experience incredible. Never have I related to a doctor's office more in my entire life. They keep it real with you, make sure you're comfortable, and very welcoming to boot. I wish I could give this Aspen Dental more stars. 100/10

Root canal in Royal Oak, MI

If you’re dealing with ongoing tooth pain or infection, a root canal may be the recommended treatment. At Aspen Dental in Royal Oak, our care team provides root canal treatment close to home—so you don’t have to wait to feel relief.

What is a root canal?

A root canal is an endodontic treatment that cleans infection inside your tooth so we can save it instead of taking it out. If left untreated, the pulp that has nerves or tissue may die as a result of infection. Left untreated, an infected tooth can cause damage and lead to other issues. At Aspen Dental, your comfort is our priority at every step—we’ll explain everything and keep you comfortable throughout the process. If cost is what’s holding you back, don’t delay your visit—we accept most insurances and financing options—so you’ll know exactly what to expect.

What’s the process of getting a root canal at Aspen Dental?

At Aspen Dental, your comfort is our priority at every step:
1
Initial assessment
We examine the tooth, take X-rays and explain your care plan.
2
Local anesthesia
The affected tooth and surrounding area are numbed completely, so you remain comfortable throughout the procedure.
3
Removing the infection
We carefully remove the infected pulp.
4
Cleaning and shaping
The inside of the tooth is cleaned and prepared.
5
Sealing the tooth
A biocompatible filling material seals the canals to protect the tooth from further infection.
6
Restoring the tooth
Most patients need a crown placed afterward to strengthen and protect the treated tooth for long-term use.

Do I need root canal treatment?

You might need root canal treatment if you notice: tooth pain that doesn’t go away, sensitivity to hot or cold even after the infection is gone, pain when chewing, a cracked or broken tooth exposing the nerve, swelling in the gums or jaw, or a tooth that looks darker than the rest. These are all signs of infection, and by treating it quickly, Aspen Dental could save your tooth.
