I swear I have Never in my 67 years of life, have met a Group of People who was so Compassionate and Caring about how I felt. So Professional, they take that Hippocratic Oath of Do No Harm seriously. I am a big baby terrified of dentist due to bad handling previously in my hometown. I was shaky because of so much pain due to infection from a broken tooth that I was trying to self medicated. My fault. I was treated as a walk in because I was in so much pain, I felt like running in front of a bus to end it all. I was jacked up, I think I sat and moaned for about 8 mins my face swollen and a headache from hell. From the time I went back to exam and X-ray . I knew in my soul I was in the right place. The Doctor was amazing showed me everything and explained about I had to get rid of infection prior my upcoming shoulder replacement I told her I was scared of sepsis, well that's just where I was headed. But I am there and we were gonna head it off at the pass. They are going to notify my Surgeon as to line of Care. I have never felt so SAFE. I look forward to going back in a week to see how these antibiotics worked. I am in no pain after 3 days of no sleep in constant pain and finally can bend my Head down with no dizziness. I thank Swedes hospital referring me to them.Aspen Dental actually saved my life today. If you're are a chicken like me, this is the place to go to. I hope this testimony will help others If you got problems, this is the place to go to. I Thank God for this place and the Staff in this place. Quit suffering and self medicating, praying death to a leave pain. Just Go to Aspen and Be ministered to by The Angels who walk amongst us. God Bless you 🙏🏽 Thank you Aspen for saving me.
I’m glad I switched to this Dentist after hoping around different places. The staff here is so kind and non judgmental. I came in today for a regular cleaning with Sky and I was very pleased with her service. She answered all my questions and offered me multiple options for my care plans. I recommend this place to all my coworkers since we all have the same insurance 🥰
This Aspen Dental is one of the best places I have gone too and I will keep recommending them to everyone. They are very understanding and nice. When I panicked because of my anxiety they were not mean and did not get attitude about me panicking. They were so understanding. They made 100% sure that I was never in pain and they also clearly tell you instructions for home. 10/10 for Aspen.

Root canal in Rockford, IL

If you’re dealing with ongoing tooth pain or infection, a root canal may be the recommended treatment. At Aspen Dental in Rockford, our care team provides root canal treatment close to home—so you don’t have to wait to feel relief.

What is a root canal?

A root canal is an endodontic treatment that cleans infection inside your tooth so we can save it instead of taking it out. If left untreated, the pulp that has nerves or tissue may die as a result of infection. Left untreated, an infected tooth can cause damage and lead to other issues. At Aspen Dental, your comfort is our priority at every step—we’ll explain everything and keep you comfortable throughout the process. If cost is what’s holding you back, don’t delay your visit—we accept most insurances and financing options—so you’ll know exactly what to expect.

What’s the process of getting a root canal at Aspen Dental?

At Aspen Dental, your comfort is our priority at every step:
1
Initial assessment
We examine the tooth, take X-rays and explain your care plan.
2
Local anesthesia
The affected tooth and surrounding area are numbed completely, so you remain comfortable throughout the procedure.
3
Removing the infection
We carefully remove the infected pulp.
4
Cleaning and shaping
The inside of the tooth is cleaned and prepared.
5
Sealing the tooth
A biocompatible filling material seals the canals to protect the tooth from further infection.
6
Restoring the tooth
Most patients need a crown placed afterward to strengthen and protect the treated tooth for long-term use.

Do I need root canal treatment?

You might need root canal treatment if you notice: tooth pain that doesn’t go away, sensitivity to hot or cold even after the infection is gone, pain when chewing, a cracked or broken tooth exposing the nerve, swelling in the gums or jaw, or a tooth that looks darker than the rest. These are all signs of infection, and by treating it quickly, Aspen Dental could save your tooth.
