Heigenist was very professional, thorough and efficient. I highly recommend her for cleaning teeth.
They very pleasant. They took their time as I am always anxious at the dentist. I will be coming back to have more dental work done.
Where do I even start .. first and foremost I want this to speak to the group of people that felt the same way I did. A single parent with no dental insurance who neglected the cosmetic procedures I dreamed of but felt deflated every time I saw an add with people who had these beautiful radiant smiles .. id self consciously scroll past it knowing I'd be lucky if I was ever able to afford a dentist who could give me back the most important part of a person's confidence . Their smile. I needed some fillings and a few other things done to get my smile back on track to where I wouldn't smile with my lips slammed shut tightly together .. I would make excuses and justify me being unhappy by telling myself it could always be worse. a family member of mine encouraged me to go to Aspen dental. I've heard about them over the last several years and always figured it was the same as the several other practices id visited. I began having an issue with a cavity that I could no longer ignore. I made the Appt and finally went reluctant because I knew at the end of the visit with no coverage I would be looking at a bill I would worry about for a week. I checked in and waited .. stomach in knots and anticipation filled the places where worry didn't . I was met with the most friendly and down to earth staff I have ever encountered. I'm not one to really blow smoke and make something seem as it's not .. however I had an experience that was professional yet almost felt homely. the hygienist Mckenna I believe her name was .. she made me feel like I was family . then the dentist came in and as I remember the tender look and genuine concern to help me get my smile back in her eyes.. I get emotional. by the end of my visit today I was able to not only get a treatment plan that met all my needs but I was able to do it in a way that made financial sense . I haven't felt this optimistic and confident in years and I owe it all to Aspen dental . The kind beautiful woman in the finance office.. YOU are my angel and I am so very very thankful to such a wonderful business that goes beyond what other dentist offices do . you guys at Aspen CARE about your patients. I cannot wait to get my smile back and post pics. I would recommend this to any and everyone .

What are dental fillings?

A tooth filling is a restorative treatment that repairs a tooth that has been damaged by decay or minor fractures. When getting a filling, your dentist will remove any decay in your tooth and then fill the leftover space with either composite resin, glass ionomer or amalgam. This restores the shape, function and strength of your tooth while helping to minimize any discomfort or sensitivity.

Types of dental fillings

Composite fillings

The top choice for tooth restoration—a resin composite filling is made to match your tooth’s shade for a natural appearance.

Glass ionomer fillings

Commonly used for small cavities, these fillings release fluoride, which can help prevent further tooth decay.

Amalgam fillings

Silver tooth fillings (amalgam fillings) are durable, cost-effective and can contain metals such as silver, tin and copper.

Explore answers to common questions so you know what to expect—before, during and after your dental filling visit at Aspen Dental.

You may need a dental filling if you have tooth pain, visible holes, dark spots, or sensitivity to hot, cold or sweet foods. Getting treatment early can prevent more serious dental problems.

Tooth-colored composite fillings are often best for front teeth. They blend in naturally, bond securely to your tooth and provide strong support in visible areas.

Yes. Modern tooth-colored fillings are strong and resist normal wear. While they may not last as long as metal fillings in areas of your mouth you frequently chew in, with proper care, they can last many years.

Wondering, “do cavity fillings hurt?” No, they don’t. During your treatment, we keep you comfortable with a local anesthetic. You may feel pressure, but should not feel pain. Any mild sensitivity afterward usually goes away within a few days.

Avoid chewing with the tooth that was filled until the numbness wears off. Brush and floss gently around the area as normal, and avoid sticky or hard foods for the first day. Maintain regular oral hygiene and schedule routine dental checkups to keep the filling in good condition.
