Loved my experience with this dental team! The staff is sweet and welcoming.
Amazing all around!! So I do not like the dentist at all but Dr Fred was absolutely amazing. He was knowledgeable and showed true concern and compassion for my issues. He walked me through everything, and when I didn’t get it, he explained until I understood. His entire staff were so kind and helpful and made me feel very comfortable!! If you need a dentist and staff that care about their patients, Dr Fred and his staff are where you should go!!!
About two years ago, I had an experience at Aspen Dental in Pompano Beach that I still tell people about today.
I was in **unbelievable tooth pain** — honestly, I was at the point where I felt like pulling the tooth out myself. I happened to drive by Aspen Dental and decided to walk in without an appointment, just hoping someone could give me some relief.
From the moment I walked through the door, the staff was fast, kind, and incredibly helpful. I was in so much pain that I even asked for some extra ice to hold against my tooth while I waited. It wasn't long before they called me back and immediately started with X-rays. The dental assistants were amazing. They simply focused on helping me. At no point did anyone start talking to me about dental plans, costs, or trying to sell me anything.
A few minutes later, **Dr. Fred** came in and asked me what was going on.
I explained that I actually had a ticket to Brazil that same night and was planning to have the tooth treated there, but the pain had become so severe that I didn't think I could make the flight.
What happened next is something I have never forgotten.
Instead of questioning why I wasn't having the procedure done there or trying to convince me to change my plans, Dr. Fred simply wanted to help. He gave me medication and provided enough treatment and relief to make the flight manageable. Then he went back to his office.
When I walked to the front desk expecting to pay my bill, the staff told me:
**"There's no bill."**
I was speechless.
It wasn't about the money. It was the kindness behind the gesture. At a moment when I was in terrible pain and really needed help, Dr. Fred and his team treated me like a person first and a customer second. Experiences like that remind you that there are genuinely good people out there.
I believe strongly in doing good and having good come back to you. Since that day, I've told this story to friends and family and encouraged them to visit Aspen Dental and consider their dental plan — especially those who don't have the ability to travel back and forth to Brazil like I do. Several have already signed up, and even today I continue recommending Dr. Fred. In fact, another friend will soon be coming in and asking for him specifically.
When I returned from Brazil, I brought Dr. Fred a bottle of Scotch. It was just a small token of appreciation for an act of kindness that was anything but ordinary.
**Two years later, I haven't forgotten it.**
Dr. Fred and the Aspen Dental team earned my respect and my recommendation not through advertising or a sales pitch, but simply by doing the right thing when someone needed help.
Thank you, Dr. Fred, and thank you to the entire team. I will always remember what you did for me.

What are dental fillings?
A tooth filling is a restorative treatment that repairs a tooth that has been damaged by decay or minor fractures. When getting a filling, your dentist will remove any decay in your tooth and then fill the leftover space with either composite resin, glass ionomer or amalgam. This restores the shape, function and strength of your tooth while helping to minimize any discomfort or sensitivity.
