I have always dreaded going to the dentist and have for many many years. But I broke my tooth so I had to go get it seen ASAP. I was extremely nervous to the point I was shaking. My nurse lady with the big pink flower I think Angelikka with a welcoming smile came and got me from the waiting area and introduced herself. She walked me back and even gave me a short tour of the office which I never had done before at any place and maybe because I was in tears and freaking out that she took the time to calm me down with short talk about her love of the military life before proceeding with and pictures. When I was in the scary chair she assured me that everything was alright and that noone would judge me about my teeth and I really appreciated that from her.She even took the time to sit with me and ease me until the other lady came in to count my teeth. Then the doctor came in and was so nice not to judge me or give me a funny look because I hadnt been to the dentist in awhile and him and her worked in sync and you can tell they love this work and have been doing this together for years.. He gave me options that noone else has and my nurse stayed right there the whole time never leaving me alone and that meant the world to me..Not often do you find people who really care but it shows with these two very special people who took the time to make me feel like I was a family member..
This is the best dental office I’ve been to!! Dr. Nomi was able to fit me in the same day for my extractions, I was very nervous he made me feel calm. Dr. Nomi’s assistant Ivonne and front office clerk Kisha were very nice and made me feel comfortable .

With local anesthesia, your Aspen Dental provider will keep you as comfortable possible. During your procedure, you may feel pressure as your tooth is removed. After your procedure, mild sensitivity is common and should fade after a short period of time. Your provider will provide you detailed after-care instructions and, if needed, medication to manage any discomfort.
Most patients feel much better within a few days. Surgical extractions, especially for wisdom teeth, may require a week or more to fully recovery. Healing is different for everyone and depends on things like your overall health, the complexity of your extraction and how well you follow after-care instructions.
You can usually remove gauze once bleeding has stopped, which may take a few hours after your procedure. Your provider will give you specific instructions to help you heal safely. It’s important to follow these instructions carefully to ensure you fully recover.
If your procedure involves sedation, fasting for several hours ahead of your visit may be required. Your provider will let you know exactly how to prepare. For simple extractions with local anesthesia only, fasting is usually not necessary. If you have questions, reach out to your local Aspen Dental office for further details.
Soft foods are recommended for the first 24 to 48 hours. Options include yogurt, mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs, soft pastas and smoothies. As healing progresses, you can reintroduce solid foods when it feels right for you.
Make sure to avoid crunchy, sticky or very hot foods until cleared by your provider.
Follow all after-care instructions given to you by your provider. Typically, you’ll be guided to: Avoid smoking or vaping, keep your head elevated, use ice to reduce swelling. Once cleared by your provider, maintain good oral hygiene by brushing gently around the area of your extraction.
