This was the Aspen Dental in Bloomingdale Illinois, It was an extremely pleasant encounter with everyone in the office on the initial visit, however things turned dramatically worse one the return visit. I had paid half deposit in cash on first visit, and informed them I would pay balance in cash when service rendered. However upon arrival I was asked for thr remainder before being seen for 8 extractions and my temporary lower, I replied ill pay when finsihed, I gotta a little snark attitude. After 8 extractions one fused to my jaw bone and approx 13 shots of novacaine chipping and grinding to remove the final tooth, I was handed my lower denture and left to leave on my own to go pay the balance (which I did) with no gauze or napkins and blood dripping from my mouth constantly and the lady in front of me on the phone for approx 4 mins seemed like forever with blood all over my face and nothing to wipe with but napkins I kept in my pocket thank God! I asked about prescription for pain I knew when the novacaine wore off this was really gonna hurt bad. She replied the doctor will call it in. I got home entire face smudged with blood from wiping the bleeding.called the office and was told to take some Tylenol for pain!!! No prescription was going to be written. I had to result in persuading a friend to supply me with 4 pain pills to get past the first two days of suffering. This was totally unacceptable by any standards of dentistry and absolutely no follow up.so for 2300.00 I got 8 teeth extraction and temporary lower left with blood dripping and all over my face and no pain medication. I could of had a mule kick me in the face and removed my teeth for free, acquired support and pain medication from friends free and just bought the lower denture after.

What are dental fillings?

A tooth filling is a restorative treatment that repairs a tooth that has been damaged by decay or minor fractures. When getting a filling, your dentist will remove any decay in your tooth and then fill the leftover space with either composite resin, glass ionomer or amalgam. This restores the shape, function and strength of your tooth while helping to minimize any discomfort or sensitivity.

Types of dental fillings

Composite fillings

The top choice for tooth restoration—a resin composite filling is made to match your tooth’s shade for a natural appearance.

Glass ionomer fillings

Commonly used for small cavities, these fillings release fluoride, which can help prevent further tooth decay.

Amalgam fillings

Silver tooth fillings (amalgam fillings) are durable, cost-effective and can contain metals such as silver, tin and copper.
