Everyone here is absolutely amazing and the kindest human beings. Lynn the front desk and the doctor explained everything to detail and helped us tremendously with any questions we had. Highly recommended !

Excellent service from start to finish. The front desk staff was welcoming, Lyne was professional and very friendly, the dental hygienist Rebecca was very attentive and sweet, and Doctor Jeffries she is very nice and took time to explain my treatment options. We will definitely be returning.

I want to thank the entire Aspen Dental office in citrus heights for their kind, professional, and friendly staff. I had been dealing with a toothache that had reached the nerve, so I looked up emergency dental offices and Aspen Dental came up. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted by the lovely receptionist (she’s pregnant—I can’t remember her name at the moment). She has such a warm, welcoming smile and made me feel comfortable right away. I had been told by someone in the call center that they accepted Medi-Cal, but that turned out not to be the case. However, they still provided a free exam. After the exam, I was so impressed with their customer service that I decided I wanted this team to help me through the pain and was willing to pay out-of-pocket to have the tooth pulled. Fast forward a few days to the extraction—I was extremely anxious. Everyone was welcoming, kind, and reassuring. They explained every step of the process and did everything they could to help me feel safe. I’m a grown woman, but I’ve had bad dental experiences in the past (such as with Western Dental), and I struggle with anxiety to the point of tearing up. One of the dental assistants asked if I had headphones to listen to music as a distraction. I said no—I had meant to bring them but left them on the charger. She was so sweet and offered to let me listen to music on her phone and use her headphones. Her name was Lynne, and she helped me emotionally more than she knows. Dr. Jeffrey was the dentist who pulled my tooth, and she was extremely kind and patient. She made me feel heard and comfortable, and the extraction itself was quick and easy—I was in and out in no time. Thank you to the front desk receptionist, Lynne, Dr. Jeffrey, and Ynissa! All of you ladies made my experience an unforgettable one with your genuine kindness and authentic care. This office truly cares about its patients, and you can feel it the moment you walk through the door. I 100% recommend Aspen Dental in Citrus Heights to anyone.

What are dental fillings?

A tooth filling is a restorative treatment that repairs a tooth that has been damaged by decay or minor fractures. When getting a filling, your dentist will remove any decay in your tooth and then fill the leftover space with either composite resin, glass ionomer or amalgam. This restores the shape, function and strength of your tooth while helping to minimize any discomfort or sensitivity.

Types of dental fillings

Composite fillings

The top choice for tooth restoration—a resin composite filling is made to match your tooth’s shade for a natural appearance.

Glass ionomer fillings

Commonly used for small cavities, these fillings release fluoride, which can help prevent further tooth decay.

Amalgam fillings

Silver tooth fillings (amalgam fillings) are durable, cost-effective and can contain metals such as silver, tin and copper.
