About Dr. Ryan Matherne
Endodontist
Dr. Ryan Matherne, DDS, Endodontist earned his dental degree from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry and completed his Endodontics Certificate at the University of Missouri–Kansas City. He also completed a General Practice Residency with the U.S. Navy in 1999, further strengthening his foundation in comprehensive patient care. Dr. Matherne is passionate about providing tangible, high-quality care to his patients and finds great fulfillment in delivering precise endodontic treatment that relieves pain and preserves natural teeth. He approaches every case with gratitude, believing it is by God’s grace that he is able to serve his patients with excellence. He has contributed to the field of endodontics through research, including a publication in the Journal of Endodontics (January 2008) titled “Use of Cone-Beam Computed Tomography to Identify Root Canal Systems In Vitro.” Fluent in English and Cajun French, Dr. Matherne is proud of his Louisiana roots. Outside of the office, he enjoys astronomy, traveling, and most importantly, spending time with his boys. He’s also a fan of Cajun and seafood cuisine.
