About Dr. Jin Kim

Dr. Jin Kim is a compassionate and dedicated dental professional committed to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalized and evidence-based care. A firm believer in collaboration, Dr. Kim approaches dentistry with the philosophy that lasting dental health is best achieved through collaboration, partnering with patients to create individualized treatment plans that reflect their needs, goals, and comfort. Dr. Kim began the journey into healthcare with a strong foundation in science and human biology. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University in 2017, Dr. Kim developed a deep understanding of how the body’s systems work together, a knowledge base that continues to guide a holistic approach to patient care. Building on that foundation, Dr. Kim pursued a Master of Science in Biology at Georgia State University, completed in 2020. There, research and laboratory experiences strengthened an analytical mindset and a lifelong curiosity for learning. Motivated by a passion for hands-on care and meaningful patient relationships, Dr. Kim went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the Dental College of Georgia, class of 2025. While in dental school, Dr. Kim refined a wide range of clinical skills with particular interests in extractions, crowns, dentures, and fillings, procedures that transform both function and confidence for patients. Through hours of clinical practice and mentorship, Dr. Kim developed a gentle, detail-oriented technique and a calm chairside manner that patients value and trust. Before dental school, Dr. Kim worked for six months as a dental assistant, gaining valuable insight into the patient experience and the day-to-day realities of dental practice. That early exposure shaped an empathetic understanding of what patients feel when sitting in the dental chair, an awareness that continues to guide every interaction. Beyond clinical training, Dr. Kim has demonstrated a strong commitment to service, participating in outreach efforts both locally and internationally. Volunteering on a medical mission trip to Iraq in 2016 and later on a dental mission trip to Honduras in the summer of 2024, Dr. Kim provided care to underserved populations while learning the profound impact of accessible dentistry. During dental school, participation in multiple volunteer events further strengthened a passion for community health and advocacy. At the heart of Dr. Kim’s philosophy is a dedication to continuous learning and patient empowerment. Believing that dentistry extends beyond procedures, Dr. Kim takes time to educate patients about their conditions and treatment options, encouraging them to take an active role in their oral health. This educational focus, combined with a commitment to ongoing professional growth, ensures that every patient receives the highest standard of care supported by the latest research and techniques.
