Dr. Ewing Jackson Threet, DMD, MS earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of New England in Portland, Maine, where he was a member of the inaugural graduating class. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Plant Biology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee. Dr. Threet completed a one-year General Practice Residency and an Oral Medicine Residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. During this time, his research focused on oral barriers to dental care and oral complications in patients with head and neck cancer. He later completed his Endodontics Residency and earned a Master of Science in Dentistry from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. His thesis examined the relationship between temporomandibular disorders and endodontic diagnosis. Throughout his specialty training, he managed complex endodontic cases requiring both surgical and nonsurgical treatment using advanced, evidence-based techniques. In addition to his residency training, Dr. Threet has practiced in hospital settings, providing care for medically complex patients, and has experience in private practice as an associate general dentist. Dr. Threet is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Medicine and is board-eligible with the American Board of Endodontists, reflecting his commitment to advanced specialty care and ongoing professional excellence.
