My husband broke a tooth of his dentures and needed a repair. We had them made in San Antonio at Aspien Dental 4 years ago. We now live in Aransas Pass so I looked on Google maps and found a location in Portland, yeh no driving to Corpus Christi, so I called to see if they would repair them. She asked us to bring them in for assessment. The were fixed in about 45 min. They were still under warranty so there was no cost to us. The people were helpful and friendly. Thank you to the staff and thanks for opening in Portland.
I can't begin softly about how extremely pleased I am with this entire staff! And I'm not exaggerating. If you are looking for Professionalism , Ethical, Clean, Courteous, Empathetic well collaborated group of folks to say "ahhhhhh" to; well this place Aspen Dental in Portland , is where you are going to find it all! Every employee I spoke to or passed greeted me with kindness . Even though I was all kinds of mad in tears of pain. Dr. Farshad Hamid D.D.S. and his staff tended to my every concern. I almost wanted to walk out when I started thinking about prices. Glad I didn't ! The awesome gals behind the desk helped me out by panning some figures that suit my charts without drowning me. Thank you Dr.Farshad Hamid D.D.S. and staff in Portland Aspen Dental, for such an amazingly welcome impression. Had it gone any other way I'd still be in my car just crying!
So after 72 hrs of excruciating pain radiating throughout my skull, I had to go to the dentist. I don't have dental insurance. So finding the right one was a task. Aspen Dental in Portland Tx was the only one that answered with hope for me to be seen that day. Although they were booked, she could not schedule me .; she kindly suggested I walk in . She was very professional and considerate at the same time. I had been super unpleasant to everyone last few days, Frustrated and hurting. However, my RBF didn't stop anyone's groove . As busy as it was They all stayed on task and chipper at that .Dr. Hamid was so kind and empathetic considering the day was almost over and I'm coming in late with additive, tears, and a lot of work to be done with no insurance. Ihr hade calm by end of my visit. And confident that we were going to find my smile and put it back. Im not sure if it's just because I wasn't from around there that they were so attentive until I was sitting it's the young lady to figure numbers with. She listened to me asked the right questions . I can tell she was thinking at the same time. She took her time putting together options for me . All while doing this Dr. Informs her to squeeze me in to end of his day do away with the pain that was killing me.. I had to share such details with this particular place because I like to review places that I go to. I have been hesitant to go to dentist because of past bad experiences with employees and the shitty performance . This was delicate subject for me. I needed professional witts and kindness to get me through and I got that and some at Aspen Dental in Portland . Today I went back for my post op visit. Turns out they had just opened. That day was their first day . I couldn't tell they all worked so well with each other no one seemed to be lost or unsteady. I found my Dental home, I highly recommend this place with 5+ ⭐'s

Implant dentures at Aspen Dental in Portland, TX

An implant denture—sometimes referred to as a snap-on denture, overdenture, or implant-supported denture—is a modern tooth replacement option that merges the stability of titanium dental implants with the look and feel of traditional dentures. Rather than resting loosely on the gums or relying on adhesives, these dentures attach securely to implants anchored in your jawbone. With a simple snap, they lock firmly into position, offering a secure, natural-feeling fit that lets you eat, talk, and smile with confidence and comfort once again.

Implant dentures in Portland, TX FAQs

Explore answers to common questions so you know what to expect—before, during and after your implant denture visit at Aspen Dental in Portland.

Implant dentures are an enhanced version of traditional or conventional dentures. They fit onto permanent dental implants that are surgically placed in your jaw so your smile fits securely and you can eat with confidence. Implant dentures go by many names, such as: snap-in denture, snap-on denture, hybrid denture, denture implant, overdenture, implant-supported denture. Regardless of which name they go by, removable dentures that secure onto implants provide stability and comfort by being secured into place, eliminating any need for adhesives.

How long implant dentures last depends on which part of your smile—the implants or the denture—you’re referring to. Implant dentures are comprised of 2–4 implants per arch (an arch refers to a row of teeth, so you have two arches in your mouth) and 1 denture that sits atop those implants. Implant: With proper care, your dental implants can last 25+ years. Denture: On average, dentures last about 10 years with proper care³. To get the most out of your smile, the American Dental Association (ADA) recommends having your denture professionally assessed by your dentist every 5 to 7 years.

Yes, they can look real. In fact, with Aspen Dental, your implant denture is customizable with: a precise impression for your most comfortable fit, 27 tooth shades for a smile that looks natural and 4 gum shades to blend in with your gums.

Dentures rest atop your gums and need to be secured into place using adhesives, which can make eating a wide range of healthy foods difficult. Implant dentures snap onto implants in your mouth, making them more secure and easier to use for eating without adhesives. While the dentures are removable for easy cleaning, the implants are permanent.

Yes. Implant dentures “snap-in” when you place the denture overtop of your implants and press them into place. Also known as snap-in dentures or implant-supported dentures, they fit on top of permanent dental implants that are surgically placed in your jaw so your smile is both removable and secure—making eating and cleaning easier than ever.

When it comes to implant dentures, the success rate refers to the implants being placed in your jaw and how successfully they fuse with your jawbone. With this in mind, implant dentures have a high rate of success at 98%⁴, which makes them more stable and durable than traditional dentures.

In comparison to traditional or conventional dentures, yes. Because your denture will be secured into place with permanent implants, chewing is easier. Implant dentures have 3x the bite force of traditional dentures, which is why you can eat more of the foods you love without the need for adhesives.

It’s normal for patients to feel some discomfort and pain along their implant denture journey—specifically for a day or two after the implants are placed in your jaw, or if you need extractions. At Aspen Dental, we do everything we can to keep you comfortable during the process, so you can get back to enjoying life your way as soon as possible.
