I have nothing but praise for the entire staff of Aspen Dental in East Brunswick. Everyone from reception, payment qualifications, assistants and techs have been nothing short of perfect. Yes, I had my oral surgery on May 19, and yes, I'm still quite sore, but the staff has been so very kind and helpful, that I rest secure in knowing that they are all going out of their may to secure that I have a great smile, with consciously fantastic workmanship. They listen to you, and explain things very clearly. In short, they truly care about you, and live what they're doing. In this day and age, one can't ask for more. I want to particularly thank Dr. Samra for her vision, expertise, and care. Thank you, as well to David for his expertise in the dental lab, and a special thank you to Claudia, for her knowledge, advise, and making my dentures fit just right, besides treating me more as a caring friend than just a client. Thank you all. You deserve 10 ☆so not 5 in my book. Are they affordable? That may be a consideration. However, I needed a lot of intensive work. Taking the plan that was offered, the work in actuality, if I had paid cash up front, is $7,124. For me after choosing time payments for 2 years, it will total at $9,400, which is still $1300 cheaper than any competitors. I highly recommend Aspen Dental East Brunswick to anyone and everyone.

What are wisdom tooth extractions?

Wisdom teeth are the last set of molars to erupt, usually in the late teens or early twenties. Not all wisdom teeth require removal—but when they cause pain, crowding or infection, tooth extraction is often the most effective solution. If the tooth is fully visible, it can usually be removed with forceps under local anesthesia. For teeth that are impacted or partially emerged, a minor surgical procedure may be needed. Your Aspen Dental care team will walk you through which option is best for you and explain how we minimize discomfort.

Reasons to get a wisdom tooth extraction

You may need removal if you experience:
1
Pain or swelling
Discomfort at the back of your mouth can be a sign of trouble.
2
Infections or gum irritation
Inflamed or infected gums around wisdom teeth can worsen if untreated.
3
Pressure or crowding
Wisdom teeth can shift other teeth, causing bite issues.
4
Cysts, decay, or damage
In some cases, wisdom teeth can cause cysts or damage surrounding teeth.

Types of wisdom tooth extractions

Non surgical wisdom tooth extractions

When a wisdom tooth has fully erupted, removal is straightforward. Under local anesthesia, your Aspen Dental dentist gently loosens and extracts the tooth with forceps.

Surgical wisdom tooth extractions

When a wisdom tooth is impacted or angled incorrectly, a surgical approach may be needed. Your Aspen Dental dentist makes a small opening in the gum to remove the tooth, sometimes placing sutures to aid healing.
