Awesome Dentist, Dr. Phil, did an amazing job on my crown. He was gone for a while, so glad he's back.
I had a bad tooth that needed to be removed. Once I got thru the X-rays everything else ran smoothly. Biting down on the plastic piece almost made me cry, but it was necessary. Dr. Phil was very cordial & knowledgeable & honest about the steps I should take moving forward. He went above & beyond in my opinion. The dental hygienist was also friendly & very informative while talking to me about my dental health. I will definitely go back to get the rest of my work completed.
Just a little background on me. I have had MS for 24 years and I'm dying from anemia. The worst possible scenario I could face in my condition is having dental work done. My nervous system is shot, my bone density is extremely poor, and I'm very high risk for getting infections.
I had to have 10 teeth extracted and could not afford sedation. I also was in need of both upper and lower dentures.
I had tried several different dentist in the area and I could not find one that I was comfortable with. Then I met Dr. Philip Mangiaracina and Jaketa his dental assistant. He has the patience of a Saint. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable, but also a fantastic listener and communicator. Dr. Phil made sure I was so numb that I couldn't feel any pain. He let me listen to my music and checked in with me frequently throughout the procedure just to make sure I was comfortable.
Jaketa his dental assistant made me feel like we've known each other forever. She took an interest in my service dog and we watched Sharknado 𤣠while we were waiting for repairs on my dentures.
I have had some difficulties along the way but he has never given up on me. Due to my poor health it has always been easy for the doctors to blame me causing me to shut down. Dr. Phil has never made me feel that way and that is worth it's weight in gold. I don't think he'll ever know how much that has meant to me.
He has given me that safe space to express my concerns.
When we ran into obstacles he came up with a new plan. Unfortunately I have hit quite a fewš and yet we are still working as a team. I will continue to recommend Dr. Phil to anyone who will listen to me.
The staff has always been helpful. Jaketa is perfect to be working along side Dr. Phil. She is so cool and makes you feel important. I'm on crutches with a broken leg and she not only holds the doors open for me but she has actually walked me to my car.
Aspen dental is definitely a 5 ā place for all of your dentistry needs. Dr. Phil is not only an asset to Aspen he is an asset to the dental community.
Thank you,
Kathy Rock
