Abby is the front desk was an absolute pleasure to talk to and then Asia (my nurse I believe) is absolutely amazing and very informative and so nice. Finally, Dr. Hernandez was also amazing, very informative and removed 3 of my teeth with care. They all have a great personality and were so nice. Oh, and we can’t forget Emily..she helped me understand my billing process and gave me a breakdown of how all of it wrks and was very patient with me. This location has some pretty high tech and really cool equipment that shows u ur teeth and scans ur teeth in real time. It was so clean and sterile as well and they have tv’s with cable in each room to keep u occupied while u wait. I couldn’t ask for a better crew and a better dentist office. Thank you guys so much and I will see u guys in a few days for a follow up.
Everyone was really nice and treated me like a human. Will be returning tomorrow for extraction
I came here after not seeing a dentist in 13 years. I wanted to share my amazing experience. After so long without service it only took 2 hours of being in the office for them to have full x-rays of my teeth and a complete comprehensive plan to repair all of my dental work... they handled all of my hygenic cleanings, gum treatments, tooth removal/replacement, wisdom teeth removal, cavity filling, etc... I was very impressed with how thorough this office is at explaining the work in a way that you can understand, they offered me very flexible appointments dates/times, as well as a payment plan that made it all possible. I also wanna add that every procedure I've had done here has been as painless as it could possibly be. Thank you Aspen Dental for giving me a 2nd chance at a nice smile.

Wisdom teeth removal treatment in Melbourne, FL

When wisdom teeth cause pain, swelling or infection, it can throw off your whole routine. These teeth often come in at odd angles or don’t fully emerge, which can lead to ongoing discomfort and oral health problems. At Aspen Dental in Melbourne, our care team makes wisdom tooth removal as smooth as possible. With modern tools, anesthesia and a focus on your comfort, we’re here to help you feel at ease. You’ll always get a clear estimate up front, simple treatment options to choose from and—when available—the chance for same-day or next-day care.

What are wisdom tooth extractions?

Wisdom teeth are the last set of molars to erupt, usually in the late teens or early twenties. Not all wisdom teeth require removal—but when they cause pain, crowding or infection, tooth extraction is often the most effective solution. If the tooth is fully visible, it can usually be removed with forceps under local anesthesia. For teeth that are impacted or partially emerged, a minor surgical procedure may be needed. Your Aspen Dental care team will walk you through which option is best for you and explain how we minimize discomfort.

Reasons to get a wisdom tooth extraction

You may need removal if you experience:
1
Pain or swelling
Discomfort at the back of your mouth can be a sign of trouble.
2
Infections or gum irritation
Inflamed or infected gums around wisdom teeth can worsen if untreated.
3
Pressure or crowding
Wisdom teeth can shift other teeth, causing bite issues.
4
Cysts, decay, or damage
In some cases, wisdom teeth can cause cysts or damage surrounding teeth.

Types of wisdom tooth extractions

Non surgical wisdom tooth extractions

When a wisdom tooth has fully erupted, removal is straightforward. Under local anesthesia, your Aspen Dental dentist gently loosens and extracts the tooth with forceps.

Surgical wisdom tooth extractions

When a wisdom tooth is impacted or angled incorrectly, a surgical approach may be needed. Your Aspen Dental dentist makes a small opening in the gum to remove the tooth, sometimes placing sutures to aid healing.
