Today 03/13/26 I had an appointment at Aspen Dental in North Augusta South Carolina. Through the years I've been to many dentist offices but today when I walked into Aspen Dental in North Augusta changed my life and my perspective about going to the dentist. I was taking care of by a lot of wonderful people today. The first person that greeted me was Ciara she worked in front of the office greeted me and gave me the information tablet so I could feel it out with a bright smile on her face. The next person I met was Keri she was in charge of doing all of my x-rays she laughed and she smiled and joked. And she was listening to her musicals from the movie Grease. The next person I saw was Jasmine wow she was a very good hygienist, she explained everything so thorough without missing a beat any questions I had she made me feel comfortable and hopeful about the treatment that I was going to get for my mouth. She gave me some suggestions about what I need to get far as mouthwash, and electric toothbrush and she even got a sticky note and wrote it down for me wow. The next person I met was Dr.K she came in with a beautiful smile and laughter just to check and see what was going on in my mouth and just to let me know that she agreed on the assessment that Jasmine made. And also at the same time I met a young lady named Heaven. And on my way out I met a young lady name Shikina she was the young lady that help you take care of the insurance part of your visit and so we came to some complications as far as how much I was going to have to pay. She was very patient and professionally understanding we laughed and we talked until we figured out what we could do she went on head and sent the pre-authorization in and uprated everything turns out according to God's plan. I really want to say to the team at Aspen Dental in North Augusta South Carolina thank you for your premier customer service. Y'all have a great team. And I would refer you all to anyone that asks for a place to go and have a dentist appointment. Thanks again Phyllis Montgomery

What is a dental bridge?

A dental bridge is a long-term and natural-looking way to replace one or more missing teeth. Designed to match the shape and color of your natural teeth, a bridge helps restore your smile with a seamless look. Beyond appearance, bridges support your oral health too—making it easier to chew, speak clearly and keep your teeth properly aligned.

What types of dental bridges are there?

Not sure which bridge is right for you? The best option depends on where your missing tooth is, how healthy your teeth are, and the health of your surrounding structure.
1
Traditional, fixed bridge
This is the most common option. It uses crowns on both sides of the gap to hold the replacement tooth in place. Traditional bridges are strong and durable, making them a trusted choice for patients missing one or more teeth in the same area.
2
Cantilever bridge
Used when there is only one natural tooth next to the gap, a cantilever bridge relies on a single anchor tooth for support. While less common, it can be effective when other options are not available.
3
Maryland bridge
This conservative option attaches the replacement tooth using porcelain or metal wings bonded to the back of neighboring teeth. It requires less preparation but may not be as durable for areas that take heavy chewing pressure.
4
Implant-supported bridge
The most stable option, this type uses dental implants instead of natural teeth for support. Implant-supported bridges provide excellent strength and longevity, making them ideal for patients seeking a permanent solution.
