I've had consistently positive experiences at Aspen Dental in Ellsworth and am comfortable highly recommending them to others. The dentists have been excellent, and the technicians and office staff are equally impressive. I always feel well taken care of. This office has consistently gone above and beyond to accommodate my appointment needs. The atmosphere is friendly and upbeat, and I couldn't be happier with their service.

From the moment I walked in, every single person I spoke with was wonderful. Everyone was so knowledgeable and they ALL put my anxiety at ease. I'm so glad I made the switch to this establishment. 😊

3rd review November 2025 The dentist is amazing. As is the staff. I wish my dentist today would be able to stay in Ellsworth forever. I informed her that she was to be my dentist forever. She was never to retire. And she was never to die. This is what happens when a professional is completely and totally awesome. Suddenly, customers decide it's all about them. Smiling… Thank you, Aspen Dental. I'm a customer for life. ❤️ P.S. I haven't had a needle in my mouth in probably 40 years. I literally felt nothing. While I was lying there in the chair and Novacaine was being applied, I asked myself this question, "Do they not use needles anymore?" It was an amazing experience. I can't possibly thank you enough. 2nd Review Now that I have completed my treatment with Aspen Dental in Ellsworth I wish to give a fuller, more detailed review. I must admit I was afraid to go to the dentist. I wasn’t sure if Aspen Dental would be the right choice for me. It turns out that Aspen Dental in Ellsworth is absolutely wonderful. Apparently they are a teaching facility so they have very impressive technology which enabled them to quickly assess and clearly show me what my challenges were. The staff is surprisingly cohesive in the area of customer service. Consistency in compassionate care as well as a very high level of intellect and knowledge as it relates to their craft helped increase my confidence that I was safe in their hands. Their listening skills are superior. Just mentioning that I was fearful initiated assurances that options to help me be more comfortable were available. I am sincerely impressed with Aspen Dental in Ellsworth. Years ago I went to the office in Bangor and they were wonderful as well. I literally would give them a five out of five stars. They are very, very deserving of this. Bravo! ………. 1st review Everyone was so accommodating. I was a walk-in with an immediate need. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. It was affordable, it was comforting, and they took excellent care of my needs. I’m so thankful. The technology that they employ is very impressive. I was actually afraid to go to the dentist. I will feel very differently about going back.

What are wisdom tooth extractions?

Wisdom teeth are the last set of molars to erupt, usually in the late teens or early twenties. Not all wisdom teeth require removal—but when they cause pain, crowding or infection, tooth extraction is often the most effective solution. If the tooth is fully visible, it can usually be removed with forceps under local anesthesia. For teeth that are impacted or partially emerged, a minor surgical procedure may be needed. Your Aspen Dental care team will walk you through which option is best for you and explain how we minimize discomfort.

Reasons to get a wisdom tooth extraction

You may need removal if you experience:

Types of wisdom tooth extractions

Non surgical wisdom tooth extractions

When a wisdom tooth has fully erupted, removal is straightforward. Under local anesthesia, your Aspen Dental dentist gently loosens and extracts the tooth with forceps.

Surgical wisdom tooth extractions

When a wisdom tooth is impacted or angled incorrectly, a surgical approach may be needed. Your Aspen Dental dentist makes a small opening in the gum to remove the tooth, sometimes placing sutures to aid healing.
