I have had horrible dentist experiences ever since I moved to this area 2 years ago and I have to say these people are angels! Janet - She is so thorough and inclusive. Nobody likes going to the dentist but she makes you feel like everything is going to be okay and does a great job at explaining what she's doing and why. First impression with the staff was with her and I am so glad she took care of me. Amanda - I think that's the name of the lady that works the financial portion. My credit isn't all that so I knew I wouldn't get a huge line of credit, but she made sure we packaged it so I could get done what was imperative and work on the rest. Then scheduled me to get two things done at once so I'd only have to be numbed once. That was strategic and helpful. The Dentists - AHHHHH-Mazing. It's been hard to find dentists with a good bed side manner let alone a GREAT bedside manner. The Dentists here listen and care. That's the most important part. They explain every single step and answered all my dumb questions without any push back or attitude. And if I said I could still feel pain, they didn't question me. They just said okay and gave me more numbing medicine. Most doctors and dentist will question whether I'm being honest about my pain level and leave me in pain b/c they just don't believe me I guess. Not here :) I am so happy I found this place.

The staff @ the south lakeland office were amazing. Extremely hospitable and informative despite being busy. Was able to sit down with someone to talk through financing options as well as map out a care plan all in the same day of scheduling my appointment.

Dr. Singh was very knowledgeable and patient in answering my questions. I was concerned about needing teeth whitening, and he reassured me that my teeth looked fine and I didn’t need to spend the extra money for whitening. I definitely plan on returning.

What are wisdom tooth extractions?

Wisdom teeth are the last set of molars to erupt, usually in the late teens or early twenties. Not all wisdom teeth require removal—but when they cause pain, crowding or infection, tooth extraction is often the most effective solution. If the tooth is fully visible, it can usually be removed with forceps under local anesthesia. For teeth that are impacted or partially emerged, a minor surgical procedure may be needed. Your Aspen Dental care team will walk you through which option is best for you and explain how we minimize discomfort.

Reasons to get a wisdom tooth extraction

You may need removal if you experience:

Types of wisdom tooth extractions

Non surgical wisdom tooth extractions

When a wisdom tooth has fully erupted, removal is straightforward. Under local anesthesia, your Aspen Dental dentist gently loosens and extracts the tooth with forceps.

Surgical wisdom tooth extractions

When a wisdom tooth is impacted or angled incorrectly, a surgical approach may be needed. Your Aspen Dental dentist makes a small opening in the gum to remove the tooth, sometimes placing sutures to aid healing.
