Dr. Ma. Elena Courrech Martin, DDS has been practicing dentistry since 1988, beginning her career in Mexico after earning her DDS degree and Endodontics Specialty Diploma from the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas. She graduated with honors (Honorific Mention) and received the University Medal of Merit in 1988. She later became certified by the Mexican Board of Endodontics in 2004 and has been recertified three times. Committed to advancing her expertise, Dr. Martin continued her specialty training in the United States and, in 2021, earned a Certificate in Advanced Endodontics from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California (USC). She has been practicing endodontics in Texas since 2021 and is a Board Eligible Candidate with the American Board of Endodontics (since March 2022). Dr. Martin is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, the Texas Dental Association, the Mexican Endodontics Association, and the Endodontics Society of Latino America. She has also dedicated time to volunteer service through the Florida Mission of Mercy (FLA-MOM) and the Texas Mission of Mercy in Edinburg, Texas. She approaches each case with precision and care, focusing on relieving pain and preserving natural teeth through advanced techniques. Fluent in both Spanish and English, Dr. Martin is proud to serve a diverse patient community. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys cooking and traveling with her husband. She loves Italian, Mexican, and seafood cuisine and follows a gluten-free lifestyle. She stays active through Pilates, aqua aerobics, and enjoys spa-related activities. A fan of the holiday season, she especially loves Christmas and Christmas movies. Her favorite treats include gourmet popcorn and ice cream.
